We have some exciting news to share. The International Workshop on Non-classical Light Sources in 2D Materials and their Applications (NLS-2D) ( https://nls2d.pwr.edu.pl ) is scheduled to take place in Wrocław (Poland) at the campus of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology from February 19th to 20th, 2024.
This workshop, organized within the Quant-ERA project EQUAISE (https://equaise.pwr.edu.pl/), aims to bring together specialists in the field of non-classical light generation using 2D materials. Emphasizing fabrication, theoretical modeling, shaping their photonic environment, and applications in quantum technologies, especially quantum communication, the event will feature invited lectures from experts and short communications from students, PhD students, and young scientists.
The workshop will cover a range of topics, including:
- Quantum emitters (fabrication and properties) in 2D TMDCs and hBN.
- Engineering of light-matter interaction with 2D materials and cavities.
- Quantum information processing and communication using 2D materials.
- Theory of confined excitons in 2D materials.
- Nanophotonics with 2D materials.
The workshop is organized from the Rome unit (EQUAISE), with IFN–Roma (Giorgio Pettinari) being a part of the scientific committee.
