INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT – 16 MAY @ CNR-IFN TRENTO
The International Day of Light, proclaimed in 2015 by UNESCO for 16 May, the anniversary of the creation of the world’s first laser by T.H.
The IFN – CNR Rome unit, formerly Istituto di Elettronica dello Stato Solido (IESS), was founded by the Italian National Research Council (CNR) in 1969. Since then Institute has devoted its activity to applications of solid state physics and to the development, fabrication and characterisation of electronic devices. Present research focuses on the micro and nano fabrication and on the nano technologies for realising electronic, optoelectronic and photonic advanced devices. Exploiting a facility for in-house micro-fabrication, the institute is active in the development and realisation of activities in PHOTONICS, MICRO/NANO DEVICES, MICROFLUIDICS.
